      While working on Assignment 5: PowerPoint interaction I feel as if I have acquired new skills. One new skill I acquired working on this assignment was creating a game via PowerPoint. I did not know prior to this assignment that educators use PowerPoint to create educational games for their classes. I did not like how difficult this assignment felt. I felt as if it was a a higher weighted assignment but it wasn’t and it had a lot of tutorials to follow.      Data collection tools are very useful for teachers and I think I will use them in the future when I’m an educator. A data collection tool I plan on using is Qualtrics in my second grade classroom. I would use this for feedback from the parents of my students. I think its important to get constant feedback and communication with parents and this way it is easy and accessible.     A technology-related skill I would like to learn next would be blended learning.       I have had a pretty good experience in EME-2040. One thing I like about the classroom experience is working with the people around me. One thing I did not like in the classroom experience is the use of padlet for in class assignments. When I am a teacher, one thing i can do to improve the classroom experience is to heavily incorporate small group activities.     Open educational resources are free fully accessible learning resources for educators. These resources can be adapted in classrooms to better education. An online resource about open educational resources I found is a website for Open Educational Resources Commons.       While working on the Web Design Assignment, I feel as if I have acquired new skills. A design principle I used when designing my website is contrast. In regards of the color of the text and the color of the background I made sure there was contrast so it was easier to read and had better flow. I enjoyed working on this assignment. I personally close to never use AI as I have never used ChatGPT. I don’t like the idea of using AI tools because I like for work that I put my name on to be my own words and ideas.       Teacher pages on a school website could be very beneficial for students and parents. I found a website made by Mrs Sara Strickland from Canopy Oaks Elementary School. In their website, the kinds of information you can find ranges from assignment due dates, information about the teacher, and how to contact the teacher. This helps the parents stay informed on what their child needs to have done and where to contact the teacher if they have questions.  https://www.leonschools.net/Page/40708     I envision myself using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively.      My initial experience using Diigo was not good. This is because I don’t find it very user friendly. I like how you’re able to connect with groups and share your thoughts using Diigo. I don't like how difficult it is to use when using Diigo. I feel like it’s hard to join groups and annotate when it could be simpler.     Now experiencing blogging, I don’t necessarily love it but I don’t hate it. i like that blogging feels easy and I don’t struggle to write. I always have so many thoughts in my head so I have something to write about always. I don’t like how without prompts of school I wouldn’t know what necessarily to write about.       My early experiences using Instagram for my Personal Learning Network consists of communicating with other aspiring teachers. I have been interacting with others who are aspiring teachers. I have found this beneficial because I am able to learn from their experiences with working to get into the field and be able to hear what they have heard from teachers that I wouldn’t be able to communicate with.
