     Copyright and fair use are topics that are important for teachers and students. As a teacher, developing my own instructional materials, I would deal with this concept by avoiding any form of photocopying as I am unclear about my ability to photocopy legally. Also as a teacher, having students create their own work, I would deal with this concept by promoting the same concept of not photocopying to my students and try to clearly explain he difference between copyright and fair use so he students are educated. I have learned how I would be able to protect my rights on my own work through a Creative Commons license. 

    In classrooms today, there are issues with technology implementation. One technology implementation issue is academic dishonesty. One way I will help resolve this issue in my future classroom would be to fully educate my students about how to properly cite their work. If not eduacted on the subject, it is hard to understand that you are being academically dishonest and they might not know what they are doing is wrong. i will exaplin to my class what plagiarism is and how important it is to be aware and not plagiarize and let them know of the consequences of doing so to help be the solution to the issue.

    With the growth in generative AI technology, it is starting to find its way into the classroom. I think generative AI is actually hurting student learning. It can be helpful depending on the way it is used, but the helpful way of using it is not the way students are going to use it. Students will use generative AI as a way to not do their work but not technically plagiarize. This should be seen as a form of plagiarism that is punishable the same way as plagiarism as it is not the student’s personal ideas and words being used to do the work. 

   The assignment of the newsletter design helped me improve my skills on Microsoft Word. While working on the newsletter design assignment, I acquired the new skill of creating a banner. I could improve my newsletter in the future by improving my skills with Word keyboard shortcuts. The skills I learned from this assignment can be used for my future career as I will also be creating a newsletter for my students’ parents to keep them informed about what is happening in the classroom.
